Twin duvets
Have you bought a new, wider bed and are you now looking for a wide duvet? Then you're probably looking for a double. A standard double duvet is 240 cm wide. This is enough room for two people without having to pull the duvet apart during the night.
In our collection, you can choose from a wide variety of double duvets. We offer a variety of filling materials, and all duvets are available as single or double duvets. You also have options when it comes to the length of a double duvet. The right double duvet for you depends on your bed size and personal preference. If you're having trouble finding what you're looking for, we're happy to help.
Vandyck duvet double
Our entire bedding range is from the Vandyck brand. We believe in Vandyck because they only use the finest materials, have an eye for detail, and prioritize comfort. With a Vandyck double duvet, you're guaranteed a wonderful night's sleep with a comfortable, high-quality duvet.
Next to Vandyck duvets We also have their pillows, mattress protectors, fitted sheets, duvet covers, bedspreads, bathrobes, and towels. A beautifully coordinated range that allows you to easily create a luxurious bedroom.
Different sizes
A double duvet is 240x220 cm, but can also be 200 cm long. These days, people are increasingly opting for a duvet with a length of 220 cm. This ensures that even taller people don't get cold feet at night.
When choosing the right duvet size, it's important to know the dimensions of your mattress. We recommend choosing a duvet with a minimum overhang of 20 centimeters on each side. A twin duvet is therefore best suited for a mattress up to 200 cm wide. Is your bed even wider than that? Then choose an extra-wide duvet, or king-size. For a narrower bed up to 160 cm wide, a double duvet is recommended. 200x200 cm Spacious enough. Unless you prefer sleeping under extra duvets.
For a bed of 180, 190 or 200 cm wide, there is also the option of choosing two separate duvets instead of one. single duvetsWe recommend this for couples who have completely different needs regarding filling or warmth. Or if your partner tosses and turns a lot during the night, you'll sleep much better with your own duvet. An added benefit is that making your bed is easier than with a 240x220 cm duvet.
Twin duvet covers
Are you also looking for a beautiful duvet cover for your new duvet? Then you've come to the right place at Bath.&Living has come to the right place. All our Vandyck double duvet covers measure 240x220 cm. This size fits both an extra-long double duvet and a 240x200 cm double duvet. You can use the remaining 20 cm to tuck your duvet cover in neatly at the foot of the bed.
Our Vandyck duvet cover collection offers a wide selection of designs and colors; you're sure to find something that perfectly complements your bedroom. In terms of materials, there's a duvet cover for every type of sleeper. Choose crisp, fresh percale cotton or bamboo if you prefer a cool duvet cover. Satin cotton feels wonderfully soft and has a luxurious sheen. And with a flannel cover, you'll enjoy extra warmth and coziness.
Single or 4 seasons duvet 240x220 cm
Besides the size, it is also important to consider what type of double duvet you would like: a 4-season or a single duvet.A single duvet is sufficient if you live in a well-insulated house (or have good air conditioning) that keeps the temperature in your bedroom fairly constant year-round. Or, for example, if you absolutely need a down duvet in the fall and a washable duvet in the summer, you'll need to alternate between two different single duvets, which you'll need to purchase separately.
Does your room temperature fluctuate? Then a 4-season duvet is ideal. It saves both money on purchase and storage space because you don't need a separate duvet for each season. A 4-season double duvet consists of two separate parts that you can easily connect for extra warmth during the cold winter months. One part is less filled, so you can sleep nice and cool in the summer, while the other is warmer and therefore ideal for the fall. So you only buy one double duvet and enjoy it all year round.
Twin size with various fillings
A double duvet can be filled with various materials, such as wool, down, or microfiber. One isn't necessarily better than the other. It just depends on what you like to sleep under and what features you're looking for, for example, if you suffer from allergies. At Bath&At Living, you'll find primarily down duvets and duvets with various synthetic fillings, but no wool duvets. If you can't decide, you can always contact us for advice or visit our store to experience the difference between our twin duvets.
Down duvets twin
Vandyck offers a beautiful collection of down duvets, with a variety of warmth ratings. Down's warmth rating is determined by a combination of fill weight and fill percentage. In other words: how much filling does a duvet contain, and what percentage is down feathers? The higher the fill percentage, the fewer down feathers the duvet contains. This improves insulation and warmth, while maintaining a pleasantly airy feel and keeping the duvet warm.
Many people consider down's light weight a major advantage. This allows a twin duvet to lie comfortably and conform to your body, even when two people are sleeping under it. A wool filling, on the other hand, makes a twin duvet much heavier. A wool duvet is therefore not nearly as soft and airy as a down duvet.
This airiness, combined with its excellent moisture absorption and breathability, makes down even perfect for summer. Naturally, you'll then choose a double duvet with a lower warmth rating. But down certainly isn't just for the colder months!
Down doesn't require much care. It's not machine washable, so gently fluffing it daily and opening a window to air it out is all it takes. If you keep up with this, your down twin duvet will last a long time and stay fresh and plump.
The down feathers used by Vandyck are Downpass certified (meaning responsibly sourced) and are heat-treated to combat bacteria and allergens. In addition, all twin duvets have a tightly woven cover of fine cotton, which helps repel dust mites. Vandyck down duvets therefore have anti-allergic properties.
Synthetic duvets twin
Do you suffer from allergies and want to be sure you're combating dust mites? Then choose a double duvet that's machine washable at 60 degrees Celsius. At this temperature, dust mites don't stand a chance. Our synthetic duvets are machine washable and can be tumble dried on a low setting. So you can wash, dry, and put your hypoallergenic duvet back on your bed in just one day, so you can sleep without any allergies. Just make sure your twin size fits in the washing machine drum and always check the care label.
Our selection includes twin duvets made from synthetic materials like microfiber and hollow fiber. These are generally more affordable than down duvets. The Vandyck Thermo duvet with microfiber is climate-regulating and offers excellent moisture absorption. The Vandyck Fibersoft duvet with hollow fiber feels wonderfully voluminous and soft; a luxurious twin duvet in the highest comfort class!
