4 seasons duvets

A duo or 4-season duvet consists of two separate parts that can be easily attached together. This creates a comfortable duvet with the right warmth for the entire year. A warm duvet for autumn, a lighter-filled duvet for warmer spring and summer nights, and together, the two parts create a wonderfully thick duvet for cold winter nights. A 4-season duvet is therefore more economical and space-saving than buying three separate duvets for each season.
Down duvet duo
Down Down is a natural and the most sustainable material for filling your all-season duvet. A down duvet with cotton ticking offers excellent insulation, moisture absorption, and breathability, making it ideal if you tend to overheat. A down filling creates a wonderfully thick winter duvet that feels light and drapes smoothly around your body, preventing gaps. This is common with other materials like wool duvets. A wool duvet can also be wonderfully warm, but you'll miss out on the wonderfully airy and soft feel of down. They don't call it "light as a feather" for nothing!
Goose down
All the down in our duvets is high-quality goose down. This ensures excellent insulation and moisture management with excellent breathability. Compared to duck down, goose down has larger, fluffier feathers with a soft or no stem. This allows you to choose a higher warmth rating without adding extra weight to the duvet. This airy feel is especially pleasant when you combine two duvets in your 4-season duvet.
4 seasons duvet from the top segment
The high-quality goose down is even suitable for a soft and breathable summer duvet with a whopping 95% down: the Vandyck Summer 95 duvet. This duvet, from a lower warmth rating, is specifically designed for the warm summer season and is not available in a 4-season version. If you prefer a top-of-the-line duo duvet with a high down content, we recommend the Vandyck Excellent 95 4 seasons duvet. Lifespan and maintenance
These top-of-the-line 4-season duvets are quite an investment. They guarantee optimal sleeping comfort all year round. Down is generally more expensive to purchase than synthetic-filled duvets, but with careful handling, it lasts much longer. The quality of a well-maintained down duvet only begins to decline after 6 to 10 years. By proper maintenance, we mean shaking the duvet daily. You can air your 4-season duvet, but don't hang it in direct sunlight. Avoid beating or vacuuming, and preferably don't sit on the duvet. This preserves the plumpness of the feathers and therefore the most optimal insulation and softness.
Anti-allergy
The down used by Vandyck is heated to 120 degrees Celsius to prevent bacteria from developing. Combined with a tightly woven, high-quality cotton cover, Vandyck down duvets are not a pleasant environment for dust mites. All-season down duvets are not suitable for washing machines or dryers.
Synthetic duvet 4 seasons
Don't like down or are you looking for a different kind of comfort? Then we also have synthetic 4-season duvets. Namely the climate-regulating Thermal duvet which is made with siliconized polyester microfiber to mimic the softness and feel of down. And it Fibersoft duvet, filled with 100% hollow fibers encased in a sateen cotton cover. These polyester hollow fibers create a four-season duvet of the highest comfort class with excellent insulation, which feels wonderfully voluminous and downy-soft.
With modern technology, you no longer have to worry about sweating at night with a duvet filled with polyester. Synthetic duvets are now made to keep you warm in cold weather while also being comfortable to sleep under during warmer seasons. Especially if you choose a four-season duvet, you can play with the seasons to suit you throughout the year. Washable 4-season duvet
A synthetic duvet has the major advantage that you can put it in the washing machine You can dry it in a dryer. Always check the care label beforehand to ensure you wash the duvet at the correct temperature and set the dryer to a low setting. Both 4-season duvets are fully machine washable thanks to the synthetic materials and can be washed warm at 60 degrees Celsius. This is hygienic and especially helpful for those with dust mite allergies. You may be able to wash the different parts of your 4-season duvet separately so they fit in the washing machine drum.
4 seasons duvet in different sizes
Our range includes all-season duvets in various sizes. It's important to know your mattress size to ensure you get the right duvet size. It's uncomfortable to sleep under a duvet that's too narrow or too short, especially if you have to share your bed and duvet with someone. Therefore, we recommend choosing a duvet that's wider than your bed and has at least 20 cm of overhang on both sides.
For a single bed 80, 90, or 100 cm wide, choose a 140x200 cm all-season duvet or an extra-long 140x220 cm version. If you have a three-quarter bed or a double bed with a mattress up to 160 cm wide, we recommend a 200x200 cm duvet. A 240x200 cm double duvet and an extra-long 240x220 cm double duvet are the largest sizes we stock. If you have a king-size bed and are looking for an extra-wide and extra-long all-season duvet, we can order the 260x220 cm size for you.
