Another natural filling is bamboo. This is featured in the soft Vandyck Summer Ventilation duvet, combined with Tencel. Tencel comes from the eucalyptus tree and therefore gives the duvet a noticeably cooling effect. Perfect for summer!
Synthetic duvets have the major advantage of being washable. This keeps them fresh and repels dust mites, which are often the culprits in allergic reactions. Single or double duvet?
Both synthetic and down duvets are available as single or 4 seasons. 4 seasons duvet It consists of two parts, allowing you to adjust it to the seasons. Use the lighter part for warm summer nights, and the fuller part is perfect for when it gets a little cooler at night. If your home is reasonably insulated, this might also be sufficient in winter. Want a really thick winter duvet, or do you get cold easily at night? Then you can easily connect the separate parts together.
A single duvet is a good choice if you live in a modern, insulated house and your bedroom stays roughly the same temperature year-round. In that case, changing insulation classes isn't necessary.
