Let's start by listing the different types of towels we offer. From smallest to largest: washcloth, guest towel, hand towel, bath towel, and beach towel. Within this categorization, you'll still encounter some different towel sizes. This may be because not every brand uses the exact same sizing. Below, we'll list the dimensions and intended use for each type of towel.

When do you use a washcloth?
The use of a washcloth is unique because it's the only bath linen you don't use to dry yourself. Use it in the shower or bath, or wet it at the sink. All washcloths in our range are the same size: 16x22 cm.
What do you use a guest towel or face towel for?
A guest towel A guest towel is a small-sized towel. A guest towel is generally hung next to a sink in the bathroom or toilet, or in the kitchen. In these places, a standard-sized towel often takes up too much space, and such a large towel simply isn't necessary, especially not in the toilet. A guest towel is sufficient for drying your hands. You can also use a guest towel as a (wet) face towel, for example, to wash off a moisturizing mask or shaving cream.
Guest towels are often around 30x30 cm or 30x50 cm in size. However, we also offer guest towels measuring 40x60 cm, specifically in the Ranger series. Ranger bath linens are not only made of American cotton but also come in American sizes, which are slightly larger than standard European sizes.
What is a standard size hand towel or bath towel?
A "normal-sized" towel can be used after showering or bathing to dry yourself completely. It's also a good size to keep hanging by the bathroom sink for your hands and face. The average household should have the most towels of this size.
The standard size for a regular bath towel is 55x100 cmThis size is found in most of our towel collections, namely the Vandyck Ranger and Aquanova London. When do you need a bath towel?
A bath towel is a towel with a larger size, for example 70x130 cm or 70x140 cmIf you like being able to wrap yourself in a towel when you step out of the bath or shower, this might be a better size for everyday use. A large towel or bath sheet is also perfect for taking to the pool or sauna. It's large enough for comfort, but not so big that you can't fit anything else in your bag.
An extra large bath towel or beach towel
In addition to this standard size bath towel of 70x140 cm (or slightly smaller 68x127 cm), you will find extra large bath towels at both Vandyck Home and Vandyck Ranger bath textiles 90x180 cmThis size towel is also great for the pool, sauna, or even the beach. Our recommendations
In general, we recommend that the average household should mainly towels to bring home a standard size. For example, the Aquanova London towel 55x100 cm, the Blomus Riva towel 50x100 cm or the Vandyck Home 60x110 cm towel. All these towels are available in various colors, allowing you to create beautiful combinations. Are you a regular at the swimming pool or sauna? Then make sure you have one or two bath towels per person, depending on your frequency of use and how often you do laundry.
