Studio Urban was due for a refresh. This tableware series from S|P Collection is a long-standing favorite in Bath's collection.&Living. The earthenware of the past has made way for porcelain, which is a bit more durable. The finish is finished with a reactive glaze in three unique colors.

Now you might be thinking, "Reactive glaze?" No, it's not like your tableware will react to you while you're chatting at the dinner table. What it does mean is that certain substances in the glaze react with each other during the firing process. This creates unique patterns and color nuances. No two items in this series look exactly alike. This contributes to the robust appearance that complements the organic shapes of the tableware.
Playing with color
Concrete, Ebony and Emerald: these are the three completely different shades in the refreshed Studio Urban line. It's precisely this difference that makes them so appealing to combine. Shades that are too close together can sometimes clash dramatically. And too much contrast can become garish. Concrete, Ebony, and Emerald strike this balance perfectly. Moreover, the brown tones woven throughout all three shades create a softening effect.
